Dry Foam Extraction Systems Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
Carpet Cleaning Facts You Should Know
THERE IS ONLY ONE SAFE WAY TO CLEAN CARPET thoroughly and on-location without using damaging amounts of liquid
IT'S NOT THE ROTARY METHOD
Here a shampoo is scrubbed into the surface of the carpet using one large or two small brushes, This does a fair job of cleaning the carpet surface, but the deep-down dirt is either untouched or carried deeper into the pile by the shampoo. And this method makes no provision for removal of the shampoo and dirt, The carpet must be vacuumed later in a separate operation
IT'S NOT THE "STEAM" METHOD
In the first place, no steam is used-probably a good thing since live steam would be disastrous to your good carpet. Actually, the "steam" is only hot water that is sprayed into the carpet. And in most cases, little more than half of the dirt bearing water is extracted from the carpet. The remainder is left and can result in soggy carpet, browning, mildew, shrinkage, or damaged backing, padding and floors. Drying time can run up to 24 hours-a long time for any carpet area to be unusable.
ITS NOT THE ROTARY / BONNET METHOD
Such procedures will brighten the surface but can't remove the dirt deep in the pile. Result: embedded dirt works up quickly to the surface to resoil the carpet.
Then what is it?
The Von Schrader LMX Low Moisture Soil Extraction System
Uses a dry foam
(not gallons of water!)
Cylindrical brush cleans
down to the base of the carpet (unlike rotary brushes which merely clean the surface!)
powerful suction lifts out dirt laden foam in seconds
Only the Von Schrader LMX Carpet Extraction System "T" applies a dirt emulsifying dry foam, brushes it thoroughly into the carpet and removes both foam and dirt immediately before it can sink back down into the carpet. This simultaneous operation is an important benefit. Only the Von Schrader LMX Low Moisture Soil Extraction System "T" has this patented feature. Because only foam containing 10% moisture is used, your carpet is ready for use in an hour or so. And there is no danger of shrinkage, dry-rot, browning or mildew
"Steam" is just a lot of water. "Rotary brushes" just take the dirt for a joy ride. Bonnet methods just superficially clean the surface. Only the Von Schrader LMX Low Moisture Soil Extraction System cleans deeply with a dry foam and then gets rid of the foam along with the dirt!
It Takes More Than Cleaning To Stop Germs, Stop Insects, Stop Odors
NUISANCE AND RESPIRABLE DUST AND DUST MITE ALLERGIES
It is estimated that approximately 20% of the U.S. population suffers from dust mite allergies. Dust Mites thrive in textiles like mattresses, upholstered furniture, and carpet. To survive, dust mites need a food source (human skin scales) and moisture. Often moisture transmitted from the human body to mattresses and upholstery is sufficient to support the dust mite population.
Preliminary research indicates that cleaning reduces, but does not eliminate, dust mite population. Preliminary research also indicates that low moisture cleaning systems are less likely to contribute to a moist environment where dust mite populations thrive.
To contain the growth of dust mite population, a comprehensive maintenance plan should be implemented, including the regular cleaning of all textiles where mites grow -- carpets, upholstery and mattresses using the Von Schrader VS-2 Upholstery Cleaning System and VS-l Dry Foam Extraction Carpet Cleaning System.
If soil is extracted from carpet frequently with limited moisture and safe environmentally friendly products, indoor air quality can be improved.
The Von Schrader Dry Foam Extraction Cleaning Systems meet these requirements by extracting soil and contamination without applying excess moisture that can contribute to the growth of biological contamination like mold and mildew.
Carpet and Indoor Air Quality
Carpet can act as a filter for debris and contamination in the indoor environment. It can hold contaminants and prevent them from circulating in the air. However, carpet will only effectively filter debris and contamination if it is cleaned and maintained on a regular basis.
Programmed carpet maintenance not only improves fabric appearance and prolongs fabric life, it also can improve indoor air quality. The Von Schrader Carpet Appearance Protection Plan (CAPP) contains the necessary cleaning elements to help reduce contamination levels and improve indoor air quality. Recognizing the impact of properly maintained carpet on indoor air quality, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued guidelines as to how frequently carpet should be cleaned from a health perspective in various buildings depending on conditions.
Safer, more effective carpet cleaning
There is a difference in cleaning methods. Low moisture soil extraction cleans better and is faster drying. Von Schrader is an exclusive, patented system that vacuums away dirt-laden foam simultaneoulsy - the instant emulsified dirt is spearated from fibers.
Carpet cleaned by the low moisture soil extraction system is noticeably and beautifully brighter, softer, cleaner, drier - right after cleaning - and it stays that way longer! No sloshy puddles or bad smells; it can't shrink, warp or mildew (because not enough moisture is involved to cause these problems). Products used are environmentally safe. Carpet dries fast - often in less than an hour.
